More Halloween & Kelsey's B-day

After eating cake and ice cream, the girls decided to play hide-and-seek. I'm not sure how they did it in our small place, but they managed, and they had a blast at the same time.

I just realized that I didn't take a picture of Kelsey's cake. She did not want a super cute cake with writing this year. Instead, she decided she wanted a chocolate cake that was already made. I tried to talk her into getting a regular birthday cake until I saw the price. The one she wanted was about $10.00 less than the others, so being the cheap mom I am, I agreed.

The above pictures were taken at Kelsey's birthday party. The kids seemed to have a lot of fun!

Shannon, Mom, and the kids came up for Halloween. We had fun hanging out at the furniture store, going trunk-o-treating, and eating mom's food:) The best part of the adventure was when Shannon's kids were jumping on furniture while Shannon was talking to a sales girl. Mom tried to get them to sit down, but they would not listen to her. Mom made some comment to me about how they know she won't spank them; therefore, they blow her off. So, being the great Aunt I am, I said, "You guys need to sit down now. I'm not like Grandma. I'll spank ya." I thought it was super funny, but I'm sure I'm not their favorite Aunt anymore. I'll have to figure out a way to get on their good side again:)

This is Mr. Green. He is one of Kelsey's favorite teachers.

Below is Kelsey's 3rd grad class. I got to help with the Halloween party again this year. Instead of an afternoon party, her school had a morning party. So, this year we were able to treat the kids to a Halloween breakfast. I thought it was a great idea!

Like mother - like daughter
I talked Kelsey into being a Jelly Belly for Halloween. At first she wasn't too thrilled with the idea, but she finally agreed. I think she was very glad that she did. On the Friday before Halloween, Jeff, Kelsey, and I all went and did trick-or-treating on the UW campus. I'm not sure who had more fun - Kelsey, because of all the complements she got on her super cut costume, or Jeff and I as we listed to everyone ooh and aah over her. We had a blast. Oh, I have to tell another story. After trick-or-treating, Jeff took us to dinner at Corona Village. As we are sitting at the table, all the staff start crowding around what appeared to be the table behind us. I thought, "Oh, someone behind us is having a birthday, and the staff are going to sing to him/her. Glad it's not me." I then turn my head to find Kelsey wearing a huge sombrero! Before I had time to process what was happening, the staff got everyone's attention and started singing to her. I'm not sure who was more embarrassed, me or Kelsey. The look on Kelsey's face was to die for. It was the look of pure terror with a slight grin. I'm rolling just thinking about it. I'm not sure how he did it, but Jeff was behind the fun.

I often tell you guys stories about the people I work with. Here they are. We weren't able to get a full group photo, but between the one above and the ones below, I think we got everyone. As you can see, all the girls are wearing black and have crimped hair. We did this for fun. We dressed up as "The Twins" for Halloween. Although we were not able to walk around town in our cute getup, we did have a blast just knowing that we all looked alike. The things you do for fun!

My department was put in charge of making the table decorations for the organization's Halloween party. Here they are. I think they turned out great!

Halloween 2010

The following pictures were taken at an lds singles party in Denver.

This is one of my Denver buddies, Brenton

For the Halloween party, we decided to dress up as bags of Jelly Bellies. I think they turned out pretty cute. In the pictures are a couple more of my Denver buddies, Melissa and Jerry.

Fall 2010

My pictures somehow got mixed up. These should be below with the pictures from Vedauwoo. I can't figure out how to move them without erasing the others.

Kelsey, Jeff, and I had some fun decorating pumpkins the other night.

Kelsey got a letter in the mail stating that one of her pieces of art was chosen to be hung in the UW art museum. We got to go to a little reception where the artists were recognized. I thought it was pretty cute. This is Kelsey in front of her masterpiece.

For some reason Kelsey and I were not able to make it to Vedauwoo this summer, but we were able to get out there with our friend Jeff before it got too cold.

Kelsey playing dead.

Jeff took most of these pictures. He has a nifty camera like the one Brynn has.

Kelsey's first day of school

Kelsey and I went and played some put-put golf in Cheyenne before school started.

Giant marshmallow.

Mom and Dad went with Kelsey and I to Saratoga. Kelsey did a little fishing, Dad and Kelsey hung out in the Hobo hot spring in Saratoga, and I had some fun wading in the river.

Mom and Dad also went to see Martin's Cove and Independence rock with us. Kelsey and I climbed to the top. Not the smartest thing I've ever done with her, but we had a lot of fun.

From the top of Independence Rock.

Martin's Cove

We also wen to the Rawlins museum. This is the gas chamber. I don't remember this museum being so interesting when I was a kid. I think we all really enjoyed the tour. Never thought I could have so much fun in Rawlins:)
