Nauvoo

Joseph and Emma's home.

The Mansion house.

One of the original moonstones from the temple before it was destroyed.

The above pictures somehow got mixed up. They are pics taken on the temple grounds and at the visitors center.

After the performance we were bound and determined to find a town with firecrackers - Nauvoo didn't have any. So, as we were driving down the Mississippi river we noticed firecrackers being shot off in the towns across the Mississippi. We stopped and were able to watch firecrackers from a number of towns while hanging out on the banks of the Mississippi. It was a blast. These are just a couple pics we took while there.

We spent the 4th of July in Nauvoo. That night we watched a performance called "Down by the Mississippi. Before the show began they had all the kids dress up, and the performers involved them in a salute to America. Kelsey had fun being part of the show. That's here in the pink.

The Nauvoo temple. It was rebuilt to almost the exact specifications as the first.

The Smith family cemetery. Joseph and Hyrum's body's were moved several times. This is their final resting place.

Outside Carthage jail.

The bedroom where all the events took place. This is the window through which Joseph was killed.

If you look closely you can see a hole in the door. This is the hole through which the bullet went that killed Hyrum.

Our first stop was Carthage Jail. These are a few of the pics.

South Dakota Trip

Really expensive wood museum in SD

Next we headed to the Flintstones Park.
This was Kelsey's favorite part of the whole trip.

Kelsey's first time on a T.T.

This is why Kelsey wanted to go to SD-Mt. Rushmore

Kels and I were a bit bored today. She wanted to play with the camera.

Yesterday Kels and I went up to a place by Saratoga for a YW/YM act. Hung out in the mountains, did a little studying and ate some camfire food. It was fun.

On the way back we took our buddy Emily to the Snowy Range Lodge and showed her a neat little place in Cenetnnial.

Sorry this is sideways. I forgot to rotate it. This was Kelsey's mother's day gift. She loves making surprises for people.

We went and saw the movie "Up" the other night. I love that show, it is so cute!

Brynn, if you remember we are doing this for you. Where are the new pics. I want to see the new nephew.

Kelsey says, "Hi"

May 3rd, 2009

So I finally decided to let Kelsey experience the town's easter egg hunt at the pool. For some reason we've never been. She had a blast!

Kelsey wanted to participate in Jump Rope for Heart. It wasn't quite like I remembered. All the schools met at UW and participated together. She got a jump rope! Thanks for the donations:)

One Saturday morning Kelsey woke me up and asked if she could make some pancakes. I told her she could mix the batter but to leave the stove alone. I would cook them when I got up. Well, when I managed to drag myself out of bed this is what I saw!!! Kesley trying to cook the pancakes with my blowdryer! Smart thinking!

Kelsey was able to participate in the Missoula's Children Theatre. People from Montata come down each year and help the kids put on a play. Kelsey was so excited she and her best bud were chamillions.

Kesley says, "Hi guys!"

Mustard Spaghetti

I've got something for you. Mustard spaghetti. It's the best thing you'll ever eat. This is what you need.

1/2 cup mustard
3 chicken bouillon cubes
2 inches off a stick of butter/margarine - I typically use a lot less.
Milk to taste.

Cook the first 3 ingredients on Medium heat until the cubes and butter are melted. Add milk until it's the taste you want. If you add too much milk put in some more mustard.

After your done pour it over some cooked noodles and eat with garlic bread. It's awesome. Kels and I crave it all the time.
Oh, it will be runny like water. It's supposed to be that way. That's the only weird thing about it.
